Schoolbooks are killingly heavy, which leads to aches in your shoulders. There’s nothing that could make the books lighter, neither is it an option not to bring your books with you. You need them in class and if you don’t bring them with you, your teacher will become mad at you. The only thing to make the aches a little less, is.. to use a light schoolbag! For boys it’s pretty easy: Eastpak. They’re basic, light AND divides the weight to both of your shoulders. For girls it’s all a little more complicate, because they not only need to be light, but also fashionable!
In my first schoolyear I used an eastpak, because I was innocent and didn’t really care about what bag I used, as long as it wasn’t too prominent, which could lead to negative reactions from older people. In my second year I started to realise that there were more flattering bags than an eastpak so I decided to use one of my A&F bags as schoolbag. This wasn’t a very practical choice though. It wasn’t water-resistend, didn’t have a zipper and was pretty heavy. As soon as the winter came, I realised that I needed an other bag. This time I chose for a Cowboys bag. It was made of leather, which was heavy as well. This one was more practical though, because it had more little pockets, in which I could easily put my keys, lunch etc. I’d used it until april 2012. When I went to Paris with school, I was determined to buy a Longchamp bag. They’re light and I love the look of it. The only thing I dislike about it, is that many people bought one as well. When I started using this one, only 2 or 3 other girls had one as well, but these days, it’s nothing special anymore.. I chose the colour dark blue, because it can be used in summer and winter. Other than that it can be used with a casual outfit or with a more classy one. It’s also a colour that doesn’t get filthy easily.
