Blouse from Trussardi // Skirt from Lucca Couture // Bag from Longchamp
Today is the day that my grandfather was supposed to turn 82 years old. Unfortunately, he lost the battle against cancer 3 years ago. My grandmother is still devastated by the loss, which I completely understand. However, I decided not to let it get me down, since I know that he wouldn’t want me to be sad all the time. The thing is, you could be crying every day or every moment you see or experience something that reminds you of someone you’ve lost in life, but just imagine if he or she would still be here and ask yourself “Would that person want me to be sad now that he or she’s left?”. In my opinion, the people who really care about you always want the best for you. They want you to be happy and to succeed in life. Turn your sadness into power to boost your results at school. Use it to enjoy the little things in life even more and to follow your dreams. Stop thinking about the loss of that dear person, but in stead start reminding yourself of all the great times you had with them. Think about all the great memories and look at the photos of you together. And don’t forget to smile, because you were lucky enough to have that person in your life.
