The day after, we first went to the Meatpacking district, to visit High Line. High Line is a public park built on a historic freight rail line elevated above the streets. It runs from Gansevoort Street in the Meatpacking District to West 34th Street, between 10th and 11th Avenues. It’s a bit similar to the Promenade plantée in Paris, which was the inspiration for this project. Afterwards, my dad and I lunched at a Hilton Hotel and then continued our walk towards Ground Zero. As soon as we got there, I was impressed by the beauty of the memorial. It looked so peaceful, that I was completely speechless until we left.
